Bio

Born and raised in Madrid Spain, Lucas Scott Lawrence grew up in a family of missionaries, artists and musicians. This allowed Scott to experience the impact of the arts on a global level. For Scott, the arts “create and transform culture, with the ability to transcend all that divides us. What better way to bring people together?” This passion for the arts led Scott to obtain a B.M. in Vocal Performance and to later pursue a M.M. in Vocal Performance. Scott has served as an adjunct instructor at Alabama School of the Arts since 2016.

Although his vocal training and experience spans multiple styles, from opera, crossover, and pop, to even competing internationally in barbershop, his classical foundation always reestablishes itself as his first musical love. As an undergraduate and graduate student at University of Mobile, Scott performed over 150 times a year nationally and internationally. He is currently a member of the Dove Award nominated, classical crossover vocal group Veritas who recently toured with Grammy award winning artist Sandi Patty on her farewell tour. Memorable stage credits include: Balthazar in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Simone in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Don Basilio in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Bartolo in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, The Secret Policeman in Menotti’s The Consul, the title role in Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado, Jud Fry in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, and Grantaire in Les Miserables.

In addition to his life-long passion for music, visual arts and an early-discovered enjoyment of technological gadgetry led Scott to work on his first website at the age of eleven. After more than a decade of professional work in both graphic arts and web development, Scott now manages a full schedule of projects for speakers, authors, businesses, universities, churches, musicians, photographers, non-profits, and feature length films. From Nashville, TN, Scott is equally as passionate about the visual arts as he is about music and the ever-changing music industry. His passions and experience as a touring artist bring a unique a fresh perspective to the classroom.
