Bio
Kaelyn Floyd is a native from Madison, MS and recent graduate of the University of Mobile. In December of 2022 she graduated with a B.S. in Worship Leadership, Music Business Concentration and a received a certificate in Graphic Design. After serving 2 years as a student production and communications assistant, she immediately joined The Alabama School of the Arts staff to coordinate all auditions and scholarships for incoming and returning students. As the daughter of a Worship Pastor, Kaelyn grew up with a love for music and developed a passion for leading the church in authentic worship. With over 8 years of experience leading on platforms around the southeast, Kaelyn thoroughly enjoys encouraging the next generation of worship leaders and musicians in ASOTA as a member of the Lead Creative Team and as the assistant to the Dean. Her creativity and leadership bring incredible value to ASOTA.
Kaelyn is recently married to Conner Floyd, the Next Generation Pastor at Wilson Avenue Baptist Church in Saraland, AL. When not on campus, you will find her serving faithfully at their church in worship and youth ministries, leading Bible studies on high school campuses, teaching voice lessons, thrifting, or grabbing coffee (actually a Chaii latte because she doesn’t like coffee) with her best friends. Her favorite restaurant is The Cheesecake Factory, which means her husband needs to plan a date to Birmingham for the weekend.
“My job allows me to work with all incoming ASOTA students and their families; and I absolutely love making connections with them! My time as a student at UM is full of incredible memories. I love being able to share that passion and love with new students every day!”
