Dave has two decades of experience playing music for countless events in many churches and stages around the world, touring with and road-managing bands including 4Him and Mark Harris, working as the music director in his local church, recording in sessions for award-winning artists and movies, and successfully teaching students to do the same in their own professional careers.

Being classically trained and working in a modern environment, he offers unique application and techniques of both traditional and contemporary genres. He teaches that skillful playing alone is not enough to be a successful musician, it must be married with technical knowledge and equipment proficiency. With experience from live concerts, studio sessions, and even starting a line of electric guitar pedals built by himself, Dave trains students how to select and use industry-standard equipment. Since 2017, he has custom tailored a guitar program for University of Mobile students that combines collegiate study and real-world application. Studying with Dave will not only teach you how and when to use certain techniques, but also offers why with a Christian perspective on the heart of what you do.
