Graduating with honors from the University of Mobile in 2018 with dual degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Worship Leadership, Music Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy—Abbie furthered her studies with a Master of Science in Philosophy, Science, and Religion from the University of Edinburgh in December 2021, graduating with Merit. Her education underscores her ability and desire to integrate creative and analytical disciplines, exploring the intersections of philosophical thought in a ministry context, a passion she actively brings into the classroom.

As a pastor’s daughter and ministry leader with over fifteen years of ministry experience, Abbie is passionate about the local church in its many diverse expressions. From a young age she has had a strong desire to shepherd sacred moments in God’s presence through corporate worship. Abbie has been fortunate to serve in a variety of ministry settings, from serving as the Worship Leader for several congregations, traveling and ministering, equipping worship teams, and facilitating large-scale worship experiences. Her philosophy of ministry emphasizes nurturing worship leaders as disciple-makers and fostering communities centered on humility and servant leadership.

In addition to her leadership and ministry work, Abbie has notable songwriting accomplishments. She recorded and released a solo project titled “There is No Shadow,” encapsulating her unique songwriting vision. Her original song “Rising on the Wind” was selected as the title track for the PRISM choral project, arranged and orchestrated by Bradley Knight. While serving at Redemption Church, Abbie recorded, co-produced, and released two albums featuring original songs like “Faithful” and “Hope from the Grave.” More recently she has co-released her original song, “Behold.”

Currently, Abbie serves as the Worship Leader on staff with her husband Seth at an Atlanta Church Plant called City View Church where she leads the Worship and Creative Arts ministry. Seth and Abbie welcomed their first baby girl Aubrie Joy into the world in the spring of 2024. Abbie enjoys traveling with her family, walking her dog Roux, cooking Cajun food, and all things Star Wars.
