The University of Mobile presents the eighth annual Alabama School of the Arts Piano Festival, a year long series of special events spotlighting ASOTA’s undergraduate and graduate programs in piano performance.
The series includes master classes and workshops, student and faculty recitals, guest artist recitals and special performances by UM’s piano ensemble.
Meet the Founder, Dr. Kadisha Onalbayeva
Known as "Dr. O" in the hallways and classroom, Dr. Kadisha Onalbayeva is thrilled to offer her students and the community a Piano Festival Season for the eighth year! Dr. Onalbayeva, Alabama School of the Arts' resident Steinway Artist, continues to draw students to study Piano Performance at University of Mobile. She is rigorous, yet engaging, creating an atmosphere that is enjoyable and collaborative for her students. Because of this environment and the unique performance opportunities provided to students, ASOTA now houses the largest Piano Performance Degree Program in the southeast.
