Bio

Alayah Irvin, a native of Mobile, Alabama, is an accomplished alumna of the University of Mobile, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Music. Throughout her undergraduate years, Alayah was deeply engaged in both academic and extracurricular activities. She traveled with small ensembles from the Alabama School of the Arts, including SoFree, Dunamis Gospel Ensemble, and Ignite Worship. Her leadership as the Spiritual Development Leader within Ignite Worship further enriched her experience, allowing her to connect with and be inspired by the faith of those she encountered while leading worship.

Alayah’s passion for service extends beyond the university. She and her husband, Trent Irvin, serve as Youth Pastors at Rise Church in Mobile, Alabama, where they are dedicated to mentoring and guiding the next generation. Through her experiences, Alayah has recognized a divine calling to impact the lives of both youth and adults, a mission that continues to guide her professional journey.

In her current role as ASOTA Student Recruiter and Scholarship Coordinator, Alayah is committed to fostering the academic and spiritual growth of students. She believes that this position is a continuation of her calling to support others in realizing their highest potential. Alayah is excited to walk alongside students as they pursue their higher education with purpose and intention.

In addition, Alayah plans to pursue a master’s degree in counseling to further enhance her ability to support and guide individuals in their personal and academic journeys.

“With every interaction I have, my hope is that this verse brings you peace and assurance: Philippians 4:6-7 – ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ May you find comfort and joy in this promise.”
