MOLLIE ADAMS is a warm, vibrant soprano gaining a reputation for her “animated stage presence and vivacious and strong soprano voice.” Cultivating a wide-ranging career of singing opera, oratorio, art song, jazz, spirituals, and chamber music, Ms. Adams has been seen in a wide scope of musical performances; such performances have brought her to a vast array of musical stages presenting and teaching music to all audiences. Her educational outreach and interpretations of jazz and art song have also proven to be a favorite and she has toured throughout the country with music groups such as Divas World, Magnolia Chamber Orchestra, Mobile Singing Children, and many others.

Ms. Adams is a dynamic performer of sacred music, ranging from Jewish folk song to Anglican music. Her experience includes work in solo and choral collaborations, both as a singer and a director. On the opera stage, Ms. Adams has portrayed many delightful characters, from early to modern day composers, with an emphasis on American operas; as well as premiering new music and roles, such as Ms. Dara in Dan Shore’s NOA award winning opera, An Embarrassing Position.

Mollie Adams holds performance degrees from Huntingdon College and New England Conservatory of Music, with further concentration and study in science and pedagogy. She is a member of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and The Voice Foundation (TVF). Mollie Adams is an avid student and researcher of Vocal Acoustics and its practical uses in functional Voice Technique. She also utilizes body awareness and breath work to teach functionality in the voice. This functional voice technique allows a refreshing approach to teaching, which aids in beneficial cross-training in both classical and contemporary styles of singing.
