Kent Morris is a forty year veteran of the worship technology arena, having overseen hundreds of AVL installations in well known churches from Mt. Paran Church of God in Atlanta to Dr. John Hagee’s Cornerstone Church in San Antonio. In addition, Kent has designed and implemented media systems for legendary actor Morgan Freeman, renowned musician BB King, the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, Texas and manages events as diverse as Riverfest and Timothy-Barnabas with Dr. Johnny Hunt from the North American Mission Board.

Beginning with Promise Keepers and Maranatha Music and later with Integrity Music, Kent handled the technical aspects of hundreds of concerts, seminars and conferences for decades. As FOH audio for Paul Baloche, Israel Houghton, Tommy Walker, Kim Hill, Desperation Band, Purpose Driven-Saddleback, Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Greg Laurie’s Harvest Crusade and many others, he developed techniques for live worship events employed as standard procedure today.

Kent has over a thousand technical articles to his credit in publications such as Worship Leader, Live Sound International, Sound and Video Contractor, Worship Musician, Pro Sound News, and Christianity Today. He has taught thousands of seminars across thirty countries from Myanmar to Suriname and Italy to Zambia. In addition, Kent pastored Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia for over a decade.

Since 1995, Kent has been a trusted advisor to several manufacturers in the area of product development for the worship market, lending his expertise to Audix, Crest, Electro-Voice, Yamaha, Peavey, OAP and others. He has taught at every industry trade event from NAMM to InfoCOMM and USITT to LDI for thirty years.

Currently, Kent is the FOH audio at First Baptist Atlanta, having served Dr. Charles Stanley for years until his recent retirement and now serving senior pastor, Dr. Anthony George. Kent is also the Live Sound Market Manager for Sweetwater Music and Pro Audio, a $1.2 billion firm based in Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he oversees products for the live event industry.

Born on the mission field in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Kent now lives in Atlanta with Melani, his pianist wife of thirty-six years and their two adult sons, Justin and Kendall, who are both musically active in their local churches.
