Bio
Donald Palmire has been an active euphonium soloist, clinician, and educator for more than thirty-two years. He began his professional performing career as a euphoniumist with The Marine Corps Recruit Depot Band at Parris Island, SC in 1980. He served as a euphoniumist with The United States Marine Band “The President’s Own” from 1987 to 1991. From 1992 until 1994, he was a euphoniumist with The Dallas Wind Symphony. Don served in The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” from 1994 until 2016. He served as Principal Euphonium in the Concert Band as well as Chairman of The United States Army Band Tuba-Euphonium Workshop.
Don released his solo debut double CD entitled, “Amber and Musk” in 2014. He has been an Adams Performing Artist since 2017. Currently, he serves as Principal Euphonium with the Royal Hawaiian Band in Honolulu, Hawaii.
