Bio

Yuliya Ugay Brown is an award-winning singer and pianist whose musical interests span from traditional jazz to contemporary postmodernism.

Since the age of thirteen, she has regularly appeared with the best jazz groups and venues in Uzbekistan and was later hired as a full-time vocalist for the State Big Band. A participant in numerous jazz festivals throughout Central Asia and Russia, she also became a prizewinner at several vocal and piano competitions, on both the national and international level. Simultaneously, she collaborated with the experimental theater “ETUDE” as a vocalist-improviser and songwriter.

In 2012, after finishing her Bachelor degree in Piano Performance at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, she moved to Georgia (USA), to obtain her Masters of Music degree with full scholarship at Columbus State University. Mrs. Yuliya Brown also finished her Masters degree in Piano Performance at University of Mobile while teaching. Currently she works on her DMA in Voice and teaches piano and voice.
