Celebration of Life Ceremony, For Dr. Christopher Lovely
For 14 years, Dr. Christopher Lovely invested in the lives of his students and colleagues at The University of Mobile. This week, we will gather to remember the incredible impact he made on hundreds of lives. Dr. Lovely was a man of faith, and though we miss him terribly, we rejoice knowing he is making beautiful music with His savior.

Dr. Christopher Lovely is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Mobile and currently teaches Music Theory, and Vocal Coaching. He also serves as Director of Music Theory Studies. He joined the faculty of University of Mobile in 2008, and in 2010 was invited to join the faculty of the summer program, International Performing Arts Institute, as Principal Coach in Kiefersfelden, Germany. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, in Alaska with Voices of Mobile, and on the island of Nevis in the West Indies.
Christopher has served in various church music leadership positions throughout southeast Mississippi and Alabama since 1995. Since his start at UM, Christopher has worked as keyboardist and Assistant Musical Director in various UM Performing Arts Series operatic and musical theatre events. He has also served as organist and pianist in UM’s Christmas Spectacular and Saviour. Since 2017, Christopher has served as Minister of Music at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. He holds degrees in Church Music, Piano Accompanying, and Conducting.
